Dear All,

22nd May sees the final memorial service for the Cambs876Remembered team. We have now visited 875 graves and memorials around the world and commemorated the men of the Cambridgeshire Regiment who gave their lives in WW1.

Private Payne is the very last to be remembered on the 100th anniversary of his death. We really expected this to be an event where we not only remembered Private Payne but also looked back on our achievements over the last 7 years. Alas it will be something much smaller, in line with Covid restrictions expected in May 2021.

We are now expecting this to be an outdoor service with no more than 30 people in attendance. This does mean that we have to restrict attendance to committee, their partners and invited guests. We apologise early for those who have supported us over the years but will not be able to attend this event, we will try and do something later in the year as a look back. We would ask everybody for their understanding and please do not just turn up if you have not been contacted by us with an official invitation. We do not want to be in the papers for the wrong reasons or to bring the RBL, RBLR or project into disrepute after such a wonderful 7 years.

We do thank everybody who has given us support over the 7 years and we really do hope to meet you all again soon.
